Shallowdale, Easingwold

Following the demolition of a 1950's brick bungalow, the design brief for the replacement dwelling was to create a new home filled with natural light that would reflect the traditional character of the Market Square in Easingwold but also connect fully with the south facing garden.

The new four bedroom house presents a traditional frontage to the street through the use of handmade bricks and traditional detailing, whilst the rear of the house offers a subtle contrast through the use of cedar, render, weathered zinc and glass.

Similar detailing was carried through into a small summer house within the garden.
