Danetree House, Crayke

Danetree House is a grade II listed eighteenth century property situated in Crayke. We were approached by the owners to re-organise the rear section of the house and create a highly glazed link to an existing outbuilding which is used as a home office and garden store.

Consent was granted to remove a large section of the existing rear wall of the house to enable the new and existing ground floor spaces to seamlessly merge. The new glazed link houses a repositioned kitchen/dining area at one end and a sitting area nearest to the office.

Reclaimed bricks, pantiles, oak and glass were used for the new structure with large areas of glazing in the roof to create a visual and physical link to the garden.
