High Street, Castleton

We were commissioned to explore the options of giving this 1980s house in Castleton a more distinctive appearance from the street frontage and to create additional space at the rear that would capitalise on the views and connect to the steeply sloping garden.

All existing windows were replaced with powder coated aluminium and a new flat roofed entrance porch was created which would contrast with the coursed stone and pantiles.

Internally the ground floor space has been opened up to create a large open plan living, dining and kitchen area with a new full width aluminium and glass addition which captures the panoramic views across the valley. Large aluminium sliding doors and an overhanging zinc covered roof create a transition between inside and outside. additional space / projects
